Birdwatching with local guides, ecotourism in family estancias (homestays), and some areas visited are included in "Alianza del Pastizal" (www.alianzadelpastizal.org).

Our customers will be in contact with local guides and daily activities of families who invest in eco lodges as a complementary activity.

Do you provide any additional conservation, community or educational benefits through your wider operations that you’d like to mention?

Our customers will be in contact with local guides and daily activities of families who invest in eco lodges as a complementary activity.

Top 5 achievements

All the activities are developed taking into account conservation of the species and the areas as a priority.

All the areas visited have specific protection tag which guarantee local and governmental support for conservation.

All the accommodation takes place in eco lodges or "estancias" where conservation values are essential.

All the accommodation take places in family eco lodges or "estancias" where ecotourism is a complementary activity which helps to transmit conservation values the local farmers.

All our guides are local people that makes possible to guarantee eco-investments in local communities.

 

What new sustainability steps or initiatives do you plan to take next?

For the last 5 years 2% of the total guests' fees was devoted to conservation projects in the visited regions, through the NGO Aves Uruguay/BirdLife. We are in conversation with other local NGO in order to initiate a new collaboration program.

About Company

Our company specialises in arranging bird watching tours in Uruguay.

From our base in Uruguay, gateway to the River Plate Basin, we invite you to enjoy your holidays travelling around and observing the most attractive ecosystems in Pampas -grassland, native forest, wetlands-  and birds in the region. All throughout our work in the field, we promote such values as the respect and recuperation of ecosystems and species.

Cost

From 1590.- (U$A) per person (6 people group)

Included in the price mentioned:

·          Transportation with driver, fuel, toll fare, Entrance ticket to National Parks and Protected Areas.

·          Birding guide, 01 scope, local bird book-guide, birding list.

·          Accommodation in 3-4* hotels and Estancia from day 01 to day 07.

·          Breakfast included in all hotels and Estancias from day 02 to 08.

·          Lunch and dinner is included in all hotels and Estancias from day 01 to 07.

·          Some Snacks, fruit and mineral water are included during road journeys.

 

Not included in the price mentioned:

·          Extra binoculars and extra scope are not included.

·          Breakfast is not included on day 01

·          Accommodation, lunch and dinner are not included on day 8th.

·          Coffee, extra drink and food is not included.

·          Alcoholic drinks are not included.

·          Personal Travel Insurance is not included.

·          Other expenses not mentioned in the itinerary are not included.
