Ethics

At Terra Incognita we support tours that do good in the world. They must help conserve the environment, support local people and provide educational opportunities for guests and staff, or be actively working to improve in these areas.

What conservation activities do you support through the tour, and your wider operations?

Submission of observations to national recording body; creating awareness of conservation issues; building support for new protected areas; drafting proposals for funding of environmental projects undertaken by local NGOs and authorities.

How does the tour support local people?

Local staff employed (drivers, guides); sourcing transport, food and accommodation locally.

What type of environmental education activities do you incorporate into your tour?

All information is given within the context of the regional ecological situation, including cultural and historical aspects; provision of free maps, pamphlets and booklets about local sites of natural importance.
