Tell us about your favourite place on Earth for the chance to win from a prize pot worth US $13,000.

Do you believe in the power of storytelling for positive change? We’re calling on travel bloggers and writers from around the world to put their favourite place on Earth in the spotlight while raising awareness about ethical travel.

Organised by Terra Incognita, Travel Blogger of the Year 2020 will award four Winners and eight Runners Up with over US $4,000 in binoculars from SWAROVSKI OPTIK, courses from Transmitting Science and Animal Courses Direct, plus 10 trips of a lifetime from ethical companies like Tranquilo Bay Eco Adventure Lodge, Bunica Maria, Natucate, GVI and other generous sponsors.

The competition will be judged by a panel of internationally renowned travel bloggers, wildlife bloggers, writers and ethical organisations.

In 2018 we ran Wildlife Blogger of the Year, which engaged over 24,000 people from across the globe, attracted nearly 100 entries and build a community of talented eco-bloggers, while raising awareness about wildlife and nature travel.

This year, we’re seeking stories that raise awareness about our planet’s incredible places and people, and help explore our connection with nature and each other through ethical travel. The competition is also designed to give bloggers – some of the greatest storytellers of our time – more support, encouragement and publicity.

The competition will award a total of 12 bloggers in Adult (19 and over) and Youth (12-18) categories. These include Judges Choice Winners chosen by a star panel of judges and Readers’ Choice Winners as voted for by the public, as well as Runners Up in each category.

All entrants will be offered benefits as part of the Terra Incognita Eco-Blogger Network, a global community of storytellers and influencers, including their profile featured on Terra Incognita, opportunities for published work and international promotion to increase their profile.

Travel Blogger of the Year 2020 is open to anyone – amateur or professional – 12 years of age and over. To find out more, visit the competition page and submit your story by 31st December 2019.
